As a Surrey family photographer, I sometimes travel into London for sessions. I met this lovely London based family for a family photo shoot outdoors in Regents Park right after the May Day bank holiday. Luckily we managed to avoid the worst of the gale force winds, torrential rain and hail storms that battered the South East in the preceding days. That said, it was pretty blowy though! Here are a few of my favourites from this outdoor family photoshoot.
PUDDLES!
This lively little 2 year old was lots of fun to chase around with my camera. Like most little kids, the allure of a puddle was just too much to resist. Luckily, mummy had a complete change of outfit with her!
KEEPING MUMMY ON HER TOES
This is what life is like with a 2 year old, right?! Spending all your days trying to keep up with them. Here are a few of my favourites of this little cutie keeping his mummy on her toes...
QUIET TIME WITH DADDY
Towards the end of our session, as nap time approached and a little tiredness kicked in, I had the chance to capture these lovely quiet moments with daddy.
FAMILY TIME
How adorable are these three?! Natural family photos that capture their personalities. This is why I like to do my family shoots outdoors. Natures gorgeous backdrops, hair blowing in the breeze (or in this case just-below-gale-force-winds!), puddles to jump in and lots of exploring for little people.
WHAT TO WEAR FOR A FAMILY PHOTO SHOOT OUTDOORS

As you can see form these photos though, co-ordination is key. The blues work really well - they complement each other and work well with the location we were shooting. Importantly, they are all dressed for the same occasion too!
