Autumn Outdoor Maternity Photoshoot at South Norwood Country Park

I met this lovely family of three, soon to be four, this autumn for an outdoor maternity photography session in Surrey. We had to reschedule (thanks Covid) but managed to squeeze it in just before Lockdown 2.0 began in earnest.

MATERNITY PHOTOSHOOT IN A COUNTRY PARK

We had originally settled on Foots Cray Meadow as the location after my lovely client saw some images from another session I held there in the summer - you can see some pics from that one here. But given the last minute change of date, we couldn't make that work. So off we went to South Norwood Country Park instead, which worked wonderfully.

Whilst the pandemic may not have been playing ball, the weather certainly was. It was a glorious blue sky autumn day, warm enough to ditch the coats. The late afternoon sun was gorgeous. Just look at that light... And those big brown eyes...

MAKING AND SHARING MEMORIES

This was a mini, or bitesize session, as I call them. Not quite a full-on photoshoot, but a bit more than a traditional mini. The idea was to get some images of them whilst they were still a family of three, with the baby bump proudly on display. Mum is American and also wanted to be able to use the snaps in her Christmas card. I can't wait to go back next year when their new addition has arrived!

SWITCH IT UP

During this maternity shoot we shot in the middle of the park, surrounded by autumnal trees that were illuminated by the setting sun.

WHAT TO WEAR FOR AN AUTUMN OUTDOOR MATERNITY PHOTOSHOOT

When you book with me you receive a guide to help you get ready. It's full of advice and tips on what to wear. This family have chosen really well, opting for shades of blue for daddy and daughter, and a lovely cream dress for mummy.
