I met this wonderful couple, their lively 2 year old son and gorgeous 1 month old daughter for a summer outdoor newborn photoshoot in Surrey.
OUTDOOR NEWBORN PHOTOS IN A BEAUTIFUL LOCATION
If you can't tell by the colour of the grass, this was during the peak of the incredibly dry, hot summer. We met at Nonsuch Park in Surrey which looked more like a savannah! It wasn't one of the easiest sessions. But it has turned out to be one of my favourite galleries ever.
CELEBRATING A NEW LIFE
This little lady was a hungry soul and we stopped so mummy could feed her several times. I usually only book one session a day which means there is plenty of time if babies need feeding, changing or just a little cuddle.
When I first started out as a photographer, I had my heart set on doing those posed newborn studios photoshoots. And for years that is what I practised. After I launched my business I quickly realised that this is where my heart lies. Natural, outdoor newborn photoshoots.
Babies love being outdoors and are generally quite soothed by the fresh air, gentle breeze and tweeting birds. And they spend the whole session right where they should be - in their parents arms.
