When the bluebells bloom, well, they really do bloom! Ordinary woodlands are, for a few weeks a year, transformed into enchanting, magical places. That lovely carpet of colour is striking against the vivid greens of the early spring leaves, and the dappled sunlight shines through the canopy of trees. Kids and parents alike are always taken aback by these whimsical woodlands. It all makes for the most perfect setting to capture some natural family photos.
Which is just what I did for a handful of families at the end of April during my bluebell photoshoot morning. Held in a lovely bluebell wood in Surrey, those beautiful blue flowers were a little late this year thanks to the chilly Spring but they worth the wait nonetheless.
Most of my sessions take place out in nature. Locations like these bluebell woods make family photoshoots a much more natural and relaxed experience, which ultimately makes for more authentic images.
A BABE IN THE BLUEBELLS
This lovely family travelled all the way down from London for their bluebell photoshoot. Their gorgeous little lady was only 10 weeks old and she definitely rocked her first family photoshoot...
With parents hailing from Canada and France, sadly this little lady has yet to meet any of her extended family. Whilst they bide their time until travel restrictions lift, hopefully these natural family photos will put some smiles on the faces of those waiting to meet her...
