Recently I had the pleasure of photographing a heartwarming outdoor family photo shoot in an enchanting country garden in Sussex in the crisp autumn air.
This wasn't the first time I had the honour of capturing memories for this lovely family.
I first met them when their eldest was just a few weeks old in a beautiful ancient woodland for a bluebell photoshoot. I then photographed them again for a festive Christmas mini session at a tree farm.
But this time I got to meet the newest addition to the family as they were preparing to embark on a new adventure - moving to Europe. Isn't she a sweetie?!
THE SETTING
The chosen location for this outdoor spectacle was a holiday home they had rented for a week. A hidden gem nestled in the heart of Sussex.
This gorgeous country house and garden looks like it has leapt straight out of a storybook.
Fiery trees, meandering pathways and autumnal sunshine provided the perfect backdrop for a family looking to freeze a moment. A perfect way to celebrate the end of their time in the UK.
EMBRACING NATURES PALETTE
This family photo shoot outdoors allowed us to embrace the natural beauty that surrounded us. The soft, golden glow of the sun filtering through the leaves painted a warm canvas for our images, adding a timeless quality to the photographs.
A FOND FAREWELL
Their impending move to Europe added a bittersweet layer to the photo shoot. The images will, I hope, become not just a record of a beautiful day and a wonderful holiday, but a visual ode to the memories they made in this country that they will carry with them across borders.
THE MAGIC OF OUTDOOR PHOTOGRAPHY
There's a certain magic in photographing families outdoors. It's why it is the only place I shoot. The changing light, the unpredictable elements and the natural spontaneity it affords all contribute to creating images that are authentic and full of life.
